One person is dead following a fatal stabbing at a bar in Eau Claire on Saturday evening. Authorities responded to the Do-Dodge-Inn, located in the city’s north side, around 6 p.m. after receiving reports of an altercation inside the establishment that led to the stabbing.
Upon arrival, officers with the Eau Claire Police Department (ECPD) and deputies from the Eau Claire County Sheriff’s Office found the victim suffering from significant injuries. Despite quick efforts by first responders to administer life-saving measures, including the application of a chest seal to the victim’s wound, the individual was transported to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, the victim later succumbed to their injuries.
The deceased has been identified as 25-year-old Alex Graff. According to the ECPD, a suspect was apprehended at the scene. Investigators have emphasized that there is no ongoing threat to the public, and they have stated that the incident appears to be isolated in nature. No other suspects are being sought in connection with the crime at this time.
At present, authorities have not released additional details, including the circumstances surrounding the stabbing.
